  I am very disappointed with the service I've gotten from Armbruster thus far, and likely won't be returning. Being newly engaged, I was anxious to have my ring resized and appraised. I called Armbruster, as they were the jeweler that was closest to where I lived, and was quoted a price for the appraisal and the resizing. When I brought it in, I was given a completely different price and the employees almost were insinuating that I was lying about what I was quoted, telling me, "we have always charged this price for what you're having done, I don't know who here would have given you that number." For some reason, though, I allowed them to keep the ring to size and appraise it, despite the higher price. (No, they wouldn't even give me any sort of discount for one of their own employees quoting me wrong numbers!) So I finally got the ring, and was happily on my way. Or so I thought. A few weeks later, the large stone in my ring was loose (luckily I noticed this before I lost it). I brought it into Armbruster again, figuring that they would just offer to tighten it, as it likely came loose due to them not tightening it when it was appraised, since they have to take out the large stone to do so. I drop it off, and, without even being told I'm getting charged, I picked it up this evening, and was charged $30. So now, I've given them over $100 in business, and feel that the service I got was sub-par. I'd rather bring my ring to a mall jeweler than back to Armbruster after my experience with them.

  We recently had two custom pieces made at Armburster's and are delighted with both! John and his staff are very professional and creative. They helped us design a beautiful necklace using heirloom diamonds, even Skyping with our out of town daughter through the stages of design of the pendant to choosing the design and length of the necklace chain. She is excited to wear her one of a kind necklace for her wedding later this year. During that design process I lost the diamond out of my original wedding ring and, when I could not find what I was looking for in the store as a replacement, John designed and made a beautiful ring that is just what I envisioned. We found Armbruster's to have excellent customer service, excellent creative design and craftsmanship, and reasonable pricing.Highly recommend!

  They took a look at an engagement ring I didn't even get from there and helped me diagnose what was wrong with it so I knew what to say when I sent it back for repairs. Then when looking for wedding bands, they were incredibly helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. They wanted to make sure we liked the rings more than they wanted to make a sale. Very pleased!
